is an sdi non turbo are they still quick? do they represent any adavntages compared to a turbo engine? is an ibiza sdi a good car in terms of performance?

sdi is standard, tdi is turbo

Well the car l have is a Golf TD l and if you compare it to the SD l model it is way better in terms of performance and economy. So im thinking for Ibiza it would be the same.

only buy a turbo diesel

sdi does not have a turbo so the difference would be about 30 bhp. The car you're talking about would be dead as a doornail. Quicker acceleration in a coffin

l am pretty sure, SDi stands for single point direct injection, also has no turbo, in this case. TDi is turbo diesel injection and is a common rail injection or possible multi point injection, IE newer technology = more efficient.

Sdi is a standard diesel engine which performs 90bhp (standard rating from manufacturer) while the Tdi is a turbo charged engine which performs 110bhp (standard rating from manufacturer).

An Sdi is quick yes & their only advantage is that u will have a cheaper running cost engine because it will be more economical than a turbo one.

An Ibiza Sdi is not that bad in terms of performance but if u want the best performance from it then go for a Tdi one. Btw the engine is exactly the same as the Golf engine the only difference is the top cover.
